COTTAGE GARDEN LEMONADE HERBAL TEA

There is something magical about a summer afternoon in the cottage garden. The bees are busy among the blooms, butterflies dance from flower to flower, and the warm sunshine invites you to slow down and savor the beauty around you.
Inspired by those peaceful days in the garden, I created Cottage Garden Lemonade, a refreshing herbal tea blend featuring elderflower, lemon balm, and lavender—three beloved cottage garden herbs known for their delightful fragrance and flavor.
This charming blend was created as a cottage garden version of traditional lemonade. Simply brew the tea, add honey to sweeten, chill, and add fresh squeezed lemon juice for a delightful herbal lemonade bursting with garden inspired flavor. Served over ice, it makes a wonderfully refreshing drink for hot summer days spent planting, harvesting, weeding, or simply relaxing among the flowers. Light, bright, and uplifting, it’s the perfect companion for a day in the garden.
Yet Cottage Garden Lemonade is just as delightful enjoyed warm. On cool mornings, I love to carry a steaming cup with me as I stroll through the garden, taking note of my garden task for the day, listening to the birds sing and watching the day awaken around me.
Handcrafted in small batches with herbs grown and harvested from our Potager and Cottage gardens at Just Dig It Farms, this blend is an invitation to slow down, sip, and enjoy the simple pleasures of garden life.
Ingredients:
Elderflower, Lemon Balm, Lemon Verbena, Lavender buds
Directions:
For a warm cup of tea:
Add 1 tablespoon of the herbal tea blend to a
tea diffuser. If you like your tea a little stronger
you can add more. Pour 8 ounces of filtered boiling
water over the blend, cover, and let it steep
for 30 minutes.
For a touch of sweetness, stir in some raw
honey (preferably Just Dig It Farms honey)!
Add 1 Tbsp. fresh squeezed lemon juice.
For a refreshing cool drink:
Brew tea, add honey to sweeten, and
add 1 Tbsp. fresh squeezed lemon juice.
Place in the refrigerator and allow to cool.
Serve over ice and enjoy!
